About flwpx

The flwpxsystem consists of a publishing system, integrated with form data and blockchain, together with a viewer. The publishing system is cloud based and the published content is created on the flwpxweb server and viewed offline on the current Microsoft Windows platform, with legacy support provided back to Windows 7.

The cloud based flwpxpublishing system provides for publication of content. The author can select viewing, editing and printing rights. Source content in the form of .docx, .xlsx, .svg and .jpg files are uploaded to the flwpxserver for publication.

The offline viewer, flwpxLektur, has two display panels. On the right, the media panel displays content like most other viewers, but is also interactive in that it provides for user input fields and options (author defined). On the left, the utility panel provides for display and interaction with charts, graphs, images, tables and text segments. Content in the utility panel can also be printed if the author permits this.

User-entered form data export may be exported and sent to other licensed users or the author. Form data is version and blockchain controlled. User data from form data may be merged back into the original spreadsheet by the author if required.

A comprehensive manual is available with examples explaining how to create content using Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio, and how to make best use of the features available in the flwpx system. Content created using the comprehensive facilities of the flwpx system is called a minipro, signifying the interactivity of the content.

Why use flwpx?

Existing document formats (like Pdf) can be freely edited and circulated. flwpx content cannot be edited or copied except where the author provides for editable fields which are version blockchain controlled. There is a huge difference between these two concepts. Any content in a Pdf can be edited, making it near impossible to determine modifications especially if the document is lengthy and carries a legal contractual component. In uneditable, read-only flwpx documents, the author provides only for editable fields as required - a solution to the problem. flwpx documents cannot be viewed without a machine-specific licence.

Publishing a document to Pdf and distributing it means that the content is copyable, modifiable and reusable without limits, the document and its content is no longer exclusive to the originator. In a flwpx document viewing, editing and printing rights can be preset to author requirements.

Very large documents become slow and cumbersome to view and navigate, even with significant resources, they are also slow to transmit when bandwidth is compromised. A document created using the flwpx system is quick to load, navigate and use.

Spreadsheets may contain valuable information in the form of calculations and data, and cannot be protected. Even locked sheets can easily be unlocked using a simple macro trick. Conversely, spreadsheet information integrated into a flwpx document cannot be copied or even viewed - the spreadsheet engine in flwpx is completely proprietary and does not expose spreadsheet contents at all. Only fields exposed by the author are visible. Additionally, user input into editable fields can be pulled back into the original spreadsheet by the author to be processed further.

A Pdf is a completely static document. A flwpxdocument can do calculations, present dynamic graphs and charts, perform intelligent navigation, exclude or include document segments, allow for user attachments, and much more - whatever the author desires, all with perfect security.

An in-depth knowledge on a subject can be converted into turnkey documents and monetized with the flwpx system. Take your knowledge and convert it to an input document which has all options, conditions and permutations possible. Allow selection and input to complete the document, then re-issue as a bespoke document for a fee. Your calculations and conditionality remain protected. Updates can be made quickly and released as new revisions, or simply replace the previous document.

What type of documents can you create using flwpx?

flwpx documents can be any possible size - from a 700-page graphic intense interactive volume to a one-page memo needing secure transmission and signature are treated the same.

Complex forms can be created for user input with a wide range of options, including numeric and text fields, check boxes, options, and even user-provided attachments.

The types of documents that can be created are boundless. From a book which simply uses the navigation and linking features to make reading easier, to a questionnaire that needs fields updated and is returned to the originator and included with data from other questionnaires, to a turn-key contract that becomes bespoke on completion.

What do the “security features” in a flwpx document actually mean?

Apart from the protection of the document and its intellectual property as described in “Why use flwpx?”, further features abound. Primarily, a flwpx document or parts of it can only be viewed by a designated recipient for a set time, with the allowable interaction with the document by the recipient preset as well by the author. The limits on time and interaction are determined by the author or originator of the document and can vary quite substantially, from a few hours and or no interaction to unlimited time and or full interaction. Only the designated recipient is able to view or edit the document, making for an ideal star block chain configuration with document signature. No more waiting for the document to go from one recipient to the next before getting all the input. Simply send to all intended recipients, pull in updates as received and set for deletion on the recipients’ machines at the time of your intended deadline, then re-issue completed and final document.

Interception of the transmitted document would be meaningless as it is a multi-step process with a proprietary back end. A received document can only be opened on sending a key and receiving the answering key on the same machine. If security is paramount, an intranet server can be set up to prevent public access. This makes for an ultra-secure document transmission and tracking process.

How do you start using flwpx?

You need to have a version of Word from Word 2007 or later, Excel from 2007 or later - allowing saving to .docx and .xlsx files, images in the form of .jpg files, a copy of Visio that saves to .vsdx is not essential but does expand your possibilities. The manual on how to create a flwpx document has handy hints and templates to guide you. Lastly, you need to have internet access to upload your content to the flwpx server and set your document parameters. You are now ready to send links for download of your document.
